Guanajuato Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar is the brainchild of Margarita Challenger. Born in Mexico, she missed the flavors of her home region, Guanajuato, when she moved to the north suburbs of Chicago.

Focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, she and her team have been bringing a little taste of Mexico to the North Shore for almost two decades.
